Black Diamond™ Valves:
All KPMI® Black Diamond™ stainless steel valves are
impregnated by a special German process to a depth of .002”,
with a surface build up of .0002”. This “Black Diamond™”
process improves wear properties, reduces friction, and
provides resistance to corrosion and wear that is superior to
chrome and nickel electrolysis plating. Each valve is designed
using Finite Element Analysis software, and profiles are tested
on our computerized flow bench. Black Diamond™ Valves are
lightweight, strong, one piece forgings with profiles that provide
excellent flow characteristics.
White Diamond® Valves:
We fully CNC machine our White Diamond® Valves from a one-
piece forging of either EV8 Stainless Steel or Inconel-751.These
materials have proven heat and corrosion resistance properties.
Each valve is designed using Finite Element Analysis software,
and profiles are tested on our computerized flow bench. Strict
attention is paid to the surface preparation of the valves, and the
purity of the chrome is closely monitored. A 360 degree anode
is used to produce the highest possible grade of hard chrome
finish. White Diamond® Valves are light, strong, one piece
forgings with profiles that provide excellent flow characteristics.

KPMI® has recognized a need for direct OEM replacement
valves that meet KPMI® standards for race quality performance
and endurance, while also being affordable. To meet this need
KPMI® has new product line selected from existing or newly
developed KPMI® valves for select applications.
If you look closely at the KPMI® Tensilite® titanium valves, you
will notice the U.S. milled one piece forged design, precision
ground stems and the CrN PVD coating covering the entire
valve. In cases where the OEM uses steel exhaust valves,
KPMI® has elected to implement our race proven line of Black
Diamond™ stainless steel exhaust valves, rather than create a
new line of valves made from a lesser quality material to match
the OEM. For your next factory rebuild, upgrade to KPMI® and
gain yourself some performance and reliability, while saving
yourself some money.

Note: These valves are intended as O.E.M. replacement
valves and are completely compatible with the O.E.M. spring
kits. However, experienced engine builders, who are running
aggressive camshafts or higher than factory RPM’s may
find the combination of the O.E.M. Style Valve and KPMI’s
Lightweight Racing Spring Kits advisable.
KPMI® Valves Springs: (Titanium Retainers)
KPMI® valve spring are wound from Premium Kobe Super-
Clean Chrome Silicon wire. KPMI® valve springs are heat-
treated, stress relieved, and shot peened to insure maximum
performance and life. Springs are engineered for each specific
application using proprietary advanced spring design simulation,
and analysis software. Engineers pay special attention to cam
and spring harmonics, stress, mass, and operating rpm.
KPMI® Valves Springs: (Heat Treated Steel Retainers)
KPMI® performance valve spring kits are modeled using cam
profile and simulation software’s. By utilizing FEA software, it
was possible to take advantage of the increased strength and
wear resistance of a heat treated steel retainer, while reducing
its mass to within grams of a comparable titanium retainer. With
two different spring pressure option kits to choose from, these
are the ultimate setup for any Polaris RZR/Ranger tuner.
