These tappets must be used with KPMI spring kit 82-82450 or 82-82500 to convert to a 9.5mm shim adjustment system. 2) The seals included in these kits are intended for use with OEM guides. Please use KPMI P/N 71016-4 x2 when installing KPMI guides. 3) Some early 2013 models came from the OEM with guides that included a seal detail. These guides require the use of KPMI seal P/N 82-82181. 4) Our Turbo spring kit has been designed for applications with up to 15psi of boost. † = Must use KPMI® Spring Kit when using Black & White Diamond Valves ## = IMPORTANT NOTE / CYLINDER HEAD MODIFICATION REQUIRED: These KPMI’s Black Diamond™ studs feature a 12mm diameter for the entire stud, providing maximum clamping force for extreme duty and peace of mind. A simple drilling operation with a 1/2” drill bit is required to modify the cylinder head. § = The tappet must never contact the retainer for this application.
