We’ve taken the classic waxed cotton jacket and made it better. We strengthened the outer material by combining abrasion resistant nylon into the weave of the fabric. Then we laminated a waterproof / breathable membrane to the back of it, and seam taped every seam. Then we applied a fine waxed coating for the vintage look and to prevent the fabric from absorbing water. Now you have a 100% waterproof garment that has classic looks and 21st century technology. The collar and inner lapel is leather lined, as well as the two large internal pockets. A cotton plaid lining adds to the vintage look. Because this is a motorcycle jacket, we included SAS-Tec armor at the elbows and shoulders. There is a pocket for an optional back protector. BIRMINGHAM PANTS These classic pants are equally comfortable at home walking around town and around the campsite, as they are when worn for long days in the saddle. When combined with the Birmingham jacket you have a traditional looking riding suit that is 100% waterproof, or you can use these riding pants with your current favorite jacket.
